Future climatic changes comprising increased CO₂, increased temperature and drought probably affect plant respiration - but how? Through investigation by means of leaf level gas exchange measurements within the applied treatments at the CLIMAITE field site during the growing season will generate very valuable data concerning the carbon budget and shall therefore be strongly supported by the researchers involved.
